Hi all!
I purchased a service (8 in total) from a seller over the last 2 months but have no physical proof of the service being delivered beyond email reports from the seller, which for all I know could be fabricated since they're largely email templates with altered names and sometimes details to fit my situation. Have reached out to the seller to ask for a refund since I did not see any results, and she was extremely aggressive.
First email she said I have signed a legally binding agreement and that I do not know how PayPal works. I pointed out that there was no such agreement on the product page AND the order confirmation page, and she linked me a random legal agreement for terms of service on an optional forum service. Then she started threatening legal action on me and to expect a call from her legal department. I suspect she is trying to intimidate me and I am currently on the phone with my bank. I will be calling PayPal in the morning (approximately 7 hours from now), but I want to know if there is anything I can do, because when I filed the claims on PayPal, I didn't realise the initial messages are going to her, and considering how aggressive she was in the first place, this makes me extremely paranoid. She also has my phone number and address, and I'm not sure how insane she is. My building is thankfully secure and all exits and entrances are monitored.
I've heard from other people who've gotten refunds from her that she has done similar tactics to avoid refunds, and get increasingly aggressive as you escalate claims. I'm not sure if I can get my money back at this point, though I'm hoping she has no leg to stand on.
