Makes complete sense to me. A paypal agent told you to close the account... Bad Advise. You can call PP 10 times and get 10 different answers. My advise in the future when having issues is to call them 10 times and write down the answers to draw your own conclusion. So far it seems PP agents are exempt from any type of bad advise they give you. I'm out over $300 from bad advise but will contest it everyday 10 times a day until I get $300 worth of satisfaction. PP *should be able to access the closed account transactions, that account was simply closed not wiped out of existence. Most likely not by a little phone worker but one of the *top echelons which may take a while to get in contact with but them transactions are still there somewhere. Although a closed account, it might not be possible per PP's terms for you to ever have access to them. Perhaps try to get an account statement emailed to you on it? I don't know buy my guesses wont be any worse than any PP advice lol. As for the issue with your employer you can wait on them getting it back eventually or having them call PP to get their money back and reissue it to your new account. They may be able to get more information regarding what's going on than you can. Good luck!
