Hi, I am a fairly new Paypal user. I recently had some money paid into my account which I asked to be transferred to my bank. Firstly, I think it is completely unfair and dishonest of them to quote that it takes up to 2 hours and only when you have initiated it and it's too late to reverse, they then tell you 2-3 days. They should at least warn you of this before you click to proceed! Anyway, I obviously then received an email stating it would take 2-3 days. I desperately needed this money, it was literally all I had. If they had warned me this could happen, I would have made other arrangements. As I was extremely annoyed, I messaged customer services to complain. Not only did they not even acknowledge that I was trying to make a complaint, but they just gave me the same old info I had already found in the help section. I replied to their message and finally got a response that didn't seem like a generic automated one. I could tell because their grammar was terrible! I was assured that this advisor would "personally monitor the transaction to ensure that it reached my bank on or before the 7th April". That was the 72 hour deadline, so I hadn't really gained anything but I took it on the chin and waited. So today has arrived and the money isn't in my bank. It's been over 72 hours. I have messaged them again and now been told that it will be in by the 9th April. It is honestly giving me so much stress. I have 2 small children to feed here. The annoying thing is, my Mum has never had this happen to her and she uses Paypal regularly. This was my very first transaction! So my question is/are: Does this happen often? Does anyone have any idea how much longer I will realistically have to wait? I am now thinking that the 9th will arrive and they will extend it again!
