I recently tried logging into PayPal to make a payment. I was greeted with a message saying there had been suspicious activity on my account and could I change my password. I opened another browser tab, went straight to paypal.com and logged in no problems. I then went back to the payment tab, clicked back, clicked to make the payment again and PayPal logged in no problem, payment made as expected.
I then checked my account for the unusual activity; couldn't see any. Either way, I changed my password to prevent the inconvenience occurring again. So, when I came to make a payment this morning, lo and behold there was more suspicious activity on my account (there isn't, I checked), could I change my password again. No, I won't. I will log into paypal.com as per usual with no problems. I'll click back through the payment screen, and try again. Guess what - no change password prompt. I have no idea what has changed but it is a massive nuisance and the first I've seen in many years of using PayPal.
