Today I tried to place an order online, with a merchant that has PayPal set up as a payment method. However, the payment doesn't go through. I had the same problem last week with another online merchant, and upon calling PayPal customer service, it turns out the merchant was flagged as fraud and so the transaction wouldn't go through. Since there's NO record that I can access, I had to play a guessing game about the payment - it wasn't for the dollar amount that showed on my transaction. When I finally figured it out - it was NOT fraud it was a legitimate hold and then payment submitted. This intrusive security with NO recourse is making PayPal useless. Anyone experience this problem and have a solution?
