To continue my last purchase using Paypal I had to agree to the vendor becoming a "pre-approved payment" seller. It was a one off sale and there was no reason to allow the vendor to be able to take future payments from me without my consent. So I simply went to another seller. I am assuming it was the vendor who was blocking me continuing with the purchase unless I ticked on the agreement to allow them to be pre-approved payment sellers. However, I don't really know. So my question is, who blocks my progress with this demand, Paypal or the vendor? Who do I inform that I will not be dealing with them under these conditions? And why do Paypal allow it anyway? It invalidates the point of Paypal for me, which is that I don't have to give my debit card details to any website seller who I have no idea about. Once they have my debit card details they can take what they want from my bank account. But Paypal are allowing exactly the same situation with pre-approved payments.
