I sold a brand new unlocked iPhone X in its original packaging back in December. After 3 months, the buyer claimed the item was not as described and filed a claim in the Resolution Center. I immediately submitted proof that the phone was brand new from Apple and proof that the phone was unlocked from Apple and AT&T. Paypal ruled in the buyer's favor and the buyer mailed the phone back to me. Now the phone is used and the packaging is dirty. As far as I know, he offered absolutely no proof that the phone was "not as described." I spoke with a PayPal supervisor on the phone for nearly an hour and he told me that Paypal would likely reverse the decision and he asked me to send my proof (again) to the complaints-response department. After 3-4 days, I have heard nothing from anyone. Does anyone have any advice or a similar experience? The phone was originally sold through eBay (which I will NEVER do again but I didn't now that at the time). I am losing faith in PayPal because as a seller, I did everything I was supposed to do but now I am losing the difference in value between a brand new phone and a used phone that is 3 months old for no good reason except the buyer is a) running a scam or 2) had buyer's remorse.
