I will try the suggestions you have made.
I am hopeful these preapproved payments are causing a nightmare for PayPal and they will either scrap the system or fix it by allowing clients to block ALL preapproved payments at the PayPal end of the system. One simple click of the mouse () No preapproved payments permitted. This is the third or fourth occasion when PayPal has made unauthorized payments and I am seriously considering closing my account with them.

A company named 'dropbox' was permitted, without my approval, to extract $900.00 from my PayPal account. I contacted PayPal and launched a dispute and I contacted dropbox. Dropbox immediately contacted me and confirmed a complete refund. PayPal has acknowledged that refund but one week has transpired and pay Pay has not yet credited my account. I am finding it virtually impossible to make any contact with someone to discuss this problem as on the computer I am constantly redirected to some automated reply that does not answer my question. PayPal used to be a pleasure to deal with but since the advent of preapproved payments it has become a nightmare. It should be possible to block all preapproved payments at the PayPal end not the other way around. A ridiculous system that should be scrapped immediately. Mike

I have not set up any pre-approved payments (and do no ever want any) yet when I view my profile there are 9 listed. How did this happen, where did they come from and who approved them? For me, this is a serious issue, it has happened once before and if it continues, I will be forced to close my PayPal account completely
