This was a colossally poor decision on the part of Paypal.   1.  We used Paypal to process cc's until they unilaterally suspended our account for NO reason - no chargebacks, disputes - nothing.  It took 8-10 hours of hold to finally get a supervisor who agreed that the suspension was incorrect.  Nothing happened.  We repeated this scenario 3 times before we got our funding released.  By that point, we changed our processor to Stripe.  Much better.   2.  We used to run our business primarily off this card.  Since Paypal eliminated backup funding sources and we no longer use Paypal as our processor, the card is mostly useless. 3.  Less than 20% of our customers choose Paypal on our website.  Paypal - you listening? ... Thanks so much for the cut/paste from the basic FAQ, was looking for some actual human experience and advice. 🙄 Bank account and debit card are both linked, we are not newbies. The problem is with how our podunk small town bank handles PayPal Instant Transfers. I would really like to hear from anyone who has online banking that posts Instant Transfers same-day, we are looking at several but would love any referrals. I think it's really telling that this problem has been going on for so long! The first message in this thread was from 2015 and it describes the problem I have been having perfectly. After years of nothing but active positive service all of a sudden I can't seem to get anyone to help me with my PayPal Debit card getting randomly declined even for regular monthly charges. Two of the supervisors who are in some other country hung up on me and there doesn't seem to be any way to make contact with someone at PayPal here in the U.S. Really frustrating and I'm pretty much considering cutting my PayPal account altogether (we accept payment for orders on our website as well as having business and personal accounts). They need to have some way to allow their customers to reach a person in the states that can help, not just give scripted runaround non-answers! ... View more
