Ultimately PayPal has made it perfectly clear that they don't give a **bleep** about their small business customers. Someone said Elon should take it back but it seems more like he has already! As far as small business services this is going to go down in flames for them. I just cannot figure out the motivation behind it. WHY would you cut one of your most popular benefits? WHY would they NOT take into any consideration the considerable furious backlash this has caused? Are they trying to take the company down? Do they only want to provide consumer services and no longer offer business services? Today I got another announcement email that they are changing the processing fees, what in the world could be their motivation for **bleep** all of their business customers????

Thanks I am definitely going to check it out! I just got decline messages for our electric bills, I changed the Auto Pay but it had already processed. I got the PayPal notifications that I had four debit card declines (blank of course, no way to know what payments were declined). I would not have known until the electric company emailed me tomorrow and then all four of the accounts would have been late with fees. Really **bleep** me right off. We depended on this benefit to manage our businesses and they just don't give a crap. 😠

Exactly. I called immediately when I got the email notice and the very nice customer service person had not heard about it yet. Neither had her boss, they had a hard time understanding what the notification was actually saying the change was going to be. They had to go to the next level boss and then the answer back to me was just "this is the way it is". She said at that time they were going to get flooded with calls about it and hopefully they have!

Another poster said they were told it was because too many people were abusing the system (they didn't have funds in their bank account for backup). Fine, take the service away from THEM, not ALL of your customers!!! Penalize the abusers, not folks who have been good customers for years. We have three businesses and as soon as I can get alternatives lined up PayPal is GONE. 😠

I have been looking at Stripe, Square, etc., and so far have not found any other processors that have the debit card with backup function 😞 It was such a convenience I never had to worry about checking balances or a charge getting declined. I had all of our business Auto Payments set up on it (insurance, electric, etc.,). Such a pain to have to make card changes for those and will have to always check balances on several accounts.

Just spoke with Square and verified they do have a Debit Card to access funds from your customer card processing but there is not a backup function. 😞

I posted on their FaceBook page and they threatened to block me for repetitive content. Or at least their bot did! I guess they didn't want to hear my opinion. I just can't believe what a STUPID move they made with this one, a real steaming pile they laid.
