I would like to ask if there's a way to compute the actual amount. For instance, a relative who lives in a different area in the Philippines (same country) ask me to obtain some stuff for them in my city and send to another city. So they would like to send me money via PayPal. Let's say the amount to be received is exactly Php1000. How much is the amount that they should send from their PayPal account so that I receive exactly Php1000 in my PayPal account? I've noticed once before that if they send say, Php1000, there is around 4% fee, so I may receive something like 958.57, but I cannot figure out the exact percentage fee since it seems to vary. Also, I've read (in other countries PayPal) that there would be no fee if the PayPal is funded from the PayPal balance or from the PayPal-linked bank account (instead of debit card or credit card which will then have a fee). I would like to know if PayPal-linked bank account is an option available here in the Philippines -- if so which bank has this feature? The other question is: if funding is from credit card or debit card, what is the percentage service fee? I'm presuming there is a fixed fee plus a percentage fee based on the amount, but can't find out these figures. Thank you.
