This is terrible practice. I literally had a problem with my printer and was unable to resolve it within 48 hours and now I'm out 47 dollars. How is this acceptable practice?

I have paypal credit set as my only way to pay but when making a google play purchase it took funds from my bank account instead. Does anyone know why? It takes only paypal credit for all other purchases.
