No answer, just here to say "me too", but on the other end of it. I made a payment to a vendor who had a PayPal option for paying. PayPal took my money from my account, and then nothing... 30 days later, I received an email from PayPal saying that my payment had been refunded to me, because the seller "did not sign up for a PayPal account or did not complete the registration process." This is highly unsatisfactory. If the seller did not have a PayPal account, why did the PayPal button on his website take me to PayPal? Why did PayPal accept the payment and take the amount out of my account? How can PayPal take my money to pay someone who "did not sign up for a PayPal account"?And last but not least, how the hell does someone have a PayPal account without completing the registration process? I suppose I should be glad I didn't lose the money altogether, but I am not glad about that, because I totally expect that. The whole process, and the totally unsatisfactory explanation from PayPal does nothing but reduce my confidence in PayPal. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect to be treated with respect, which means informing me of the details of transactions being made with my money, especially when there is something unusual like an unexpected refund. Paypal should tell me why they took payment for someone who doesn't have a PayPal account. They should explain themselves. Otherwise they just end up looking like they don't know what they are doing.
