I have been dealing with a catch22 for quite some time where I was unable to log into my account to determine what PayPal was reporting as the balance of an account to which my clients made deposit. When I tried to log into my account, I consistently got an error message that I was entering an invalid password, PayPal would allow me to change the password, but the very next time I attempted to log in, I got the SAME ERROR. The ONLY way I could successfully log in after resetting my password was to do it with a support agent on the phone with me as I did it., but after I logged out of my account, the error message returned when I attempted to log back in. Some years ago, I modified my settings to where funds I received remained with PayPal to take advantage of the rebates, but the amount of that rebate was too small for the inconvenience of being unable to log into my account. I requested a change to where my money would be deposited directly to the associated account, but was told, NOTWITHSTANDING I CANNOT LOG INTO MY ACCOUNT TO DO SO, this could be done only on-line. My response was to tell PayPal to CANCEL all my accounts. Nevertheless, I continue to get regular email notices of the ZERO balance on my PayPal Credit Card (I have not used it in more than 2 YEARS), and a month ago, I marked "Addressee UNKNOWN/Return to Sender" an updated card sent to me in the mail with the expectation that my request to cancel the account would finally be honored. Nope. Today I received an email urging me to activate my new card! Do I have to get my attorney involved in this?????
