I recently made a purchase of $834.00 on a merchant's site using PayPal credit on the morning of Jan 28th. I selected the option on PayPal's site to apply and was "instantly approved" for a line of $1000. I went ahead with the purchase and the 834.00 was deducted from my PPC. I just checked my account again on the night of Jan 28th and it says I have an available credit of $0, and my wallet shows that I have an available credit balance of-$668.00. I am confused since these numbers don't add up because I should have an available credit of 166.00 if the purchase was approved. Now, I do have the actual funds needed to cover this purchase I just wanted to test out PPC to see if it's something that can work out with my online purchases. However my bank account is not currently linked yet, only my bank debit and credit card. Since it appears PPC only takes payments of direct bank account withdrawals or paper checks, I am not sure how the debit to the merchant will be carried out. Does this mean I was not actually approved for the full $834.00 but instead for $668.00? Or am I not understanding how the crediting system on PayPal between accounts and purchases work? Thank you for reading, I appreciate anyone's time in answering my question. UPDATE: Just several minutes after posting this I went back to my summary and everything is back to normal for now. I'm guessing it was an error from my browser displaying wrong numbers.. Or PayPal catching up and updating values. I also realized that I posted this question in the wrong section. I apologize for the mistake, I ended up here after following a link from a help topic.
