I sold a broken iPhone for spare and repairs via eBay. Buyer recieves and says theres water damge. I didnt even have a clue as I couldnt even see the screen so dont even know if he's trying a fast one knowing I wouldnt know that?. Anyways we came to a mutual agreement for a partial refund. Paypal freezes the transaction despite a partial refund being agreed its still frozen like a week or 2 later?. eBay says refund didnt go through and to go to PayPal. Paypal say to go to eBay. So going back and forth..I called eBay and they want me to send a separate transaction to the buyer but he doesnt even know how to close the claim so I refuse to lose my sellers protection sending the partial refund and then be VERY out of pocket if PayPal still take the funds and refunds and then ive sent him the extra refund in a separate transaction. Nothing showing in my resolution centre either.. Im so frustrated that I'm being pushed pillar to post and I want this pending transaction sorted so I can have the funds for the phone I sold.. Why is this so difficult? And why can I not opt to send partial refund through paypal. Why cant eBay let me 'Try again' for that refund.. why straight to PayPal? I swear its all gone down hill since they seperated!! HELP! Oh and to add the buyer is now not responding.. so will the case just be closed after x amount of time if nothing done? or will the whole refund go to the buyer and im without the iphone and the money? tracking info and messages are all on ebay and paypal for proof.. but this is stressing me right out 😞
