Hello, I'm here to ask your opinions about a thing happened to me recently. A guy contacted me on Discord (a software for text and vocal chat) asking me the source code of my software. After a long discussion, we came up to an accord: a 300€ donation (about 350USD) in change of the source code of my software. So he sent me the donation (through the donation link I provided to him) and then I sent him the link to download the zip containing the source code of my software. All went fine, until after 6 days when he asked a refund on Paypal for no reason. Moreover, in the message dispute on paypal he wrote "Was told i will get tickets for a concert in exchange of a donation. i didn't receive anything.". After receveing this, I converted this dispute into a claim, providing to Paypal all the screenshots of our conversation, and they ended up closing the claim in my favour. After few hours, this guy appealed this decision writing "He didn't provide me anything, How did you come up in his favor? he didn't provide any valid proof of shipment ..". Moreover, the subject of the message was "Ebay - transaction"... the funny thing is that I'm not even on Ebay! All happened on Discord. Now the money are blocked again and Paypal is investigating. Do you think that Paypal can change his mind giving him back the money? Maybe I've been a bit naive doing this exchange through Paypal, but that's all.
