I've just spent 30 minutes hammering various number formats in the "Security key set-up" mobile number field, the result of which is either "Please enter a valid mobile number..." or "Check your number and try again."
First of all, there's no indication of what paypal thinks as a valid number. Should I enter the country code? What about spaces? And the preceeding 0 in some countries?
These are all valid (but none were acceptable by paypal):

This is not the first time I'm having trouble with phone fields.... last time of which was a year or so ago.
