Below is a question I posted earlier:- "I sold an item on ebay. I then:- Packed and sent it to the Paypal address by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed to Singapore. Immediately noted the tracking number on ebay 1 month later I received the packet back out of the blue. I contacted the buyer who claimed he had never been advised and that I had not put the tarcking number on ebay. He then went on to claim that I had never sent th item. I have asked that he send me £15 to send item again (cost of postage) I explained to Paypal that I had put the tracking number on immediately. I have checked and it works perfectly I checked Singapore posts website and that also shows that an attempt was made to deliver and a message left. The address was a C/O address which I did not think they allowed. I have done everything correctly. The buyer has not bothered to pick the item up. Guess who Paypal found in favour of. Yes, you've got it, the buyer I have lost a sale and the cost of the postage down to PAYPAL" Paypal and one of its "volunteers" have both told me that they will support the buyer unless there is proof of delivery. In this case 1) I immediately entered tracking number (OK that is only proof of postage) 2) Royal Mail tracking only notes "undelivered", so no proof. But they are relying on Singapore Post 3) However Singapore Post tracking notes 25/7 Delivery unsuccessful. Delivery advice issued 26/7 Ready for collection 12/8 Returned overseas So, the item was delivered to the C/O address quoted on Paypal but no-one was there to accept. A delivery advice was issued and the item left for collection at P.O. for over 14 days. So, either the buyer was a). incompetent or b). changed his mind about having the item. In either case, why am I out of pocket over £20 worth of postage paid by me and why should I lose this sale. I am now using Catawiki more nowadays due to ebay and Paypals total disregard for it's sellers. It is time sellers started pushing to use Transwise.
