Hello, I have read the existing questions so I know it won't be easy but I am still hoping for some help. I am controlling a PayPal account for a UK business, so it's a properly set up UK PayPal account, and it is linked to an UK bank account in GBP currency. I have a second bank account with the same UK bank in EUR currency. In the PayPal account, I have separate balances for GBP and EUR, and I have 10,000 EUR in the EUR balance. What is the cheapest way to get the 10,000 EUR out of PayPal and into the EUR bank account? Ideas: 1. Withdraw EUR 10,000 to GBP bank account, then make intra-bank transfer to EUR account. This works, but it is very expensive and will leave me with less than EUR 9,500 (i.e. a > 5% loss), because there's some loss on the EUR-GBP conversion and then more loss on the GBP-EUR conversion. 2. Make an intra-PayPal transfer from EUR to GBP, then make the no-fee transfer from PayPal GBP to bank GBP, and then intra-bank to EUR. Will this be cheaper than option 1? 3. Link up the UK-based EUR account with PayPal for no-fee transfers - this doesn't seem to work, or has anyone ever had success with that? 4. Send EUR from PayPal to a friend's EUR Paypal account in the Eurozone (PayPal fees), have them withdraw to bank (free) and have them wire it to my EUR account in the UK (flat fee of 10 EUR or so). Will #4 be the cheapest option? Other ideas? Are there money laundering issues when I transfer EUR 10k back and forth like that? I might have to do this a couple times so I'm interested into figuring out affordable means of doing it. Thank you W.
