Considering I cannot contact you all via email, and I had to hang up after waiting on hold for two hours on your Customer Support line, I figured I would take my disbelief with your services here. I few months ago I conducted a virtual transaction through PayPal, wrongly thinking it was a secure medium to do so. About a month later, I receive an email from PayPal saying the transaction was disputed. I contacted the party I sold the account to with no avail. At this time I was confused, but not concerned- I figured they were attempting to scam me, however I presumed PayPal had dealt with this situation and would see the falsehood behind their attempt. Next thing I know, my account has a negative balance of $150. Outraged, I called PayPal to reopen the case, and spoke with what I thought to be a very helpful woman. I explained the situation and she completely understood. She let me know that I only needed to send screenshots of my proof and everything would be in rightful order. (Sidenote- I had logged into the email associated with the account I sold to change the email associated with my S/O XBox account. After doing so I logged out and let the party know that I had done so. Looking back, I should have asked them to click the reset link that had been sent to the email for me, because they used this opportunity to attempt to falsely dispute our transaction.) I attach screen shots of my inability to get into the account- proof that I did not somehow take the account back as the other party suggested. At this point I felt somewhat at ease, I knew I was in the right and had spoken to someone very understanding; At this point I only waited for retribution/justice, which I (thought I was) sure would occur. Needless to say, it did not. The account I sold had been worked on for years. It was difficult to part with it, however I was (am) in a dire financial situation, so I sold it. I’m not quite sure what bogus information this person presented, but they now have both the account and the $150 I was owed for it. I am in absolute disbelief that PayPal let this occur, especially considering their personal email LITERALLY has the word “illegal” in it. Never again will I trust PayPal to conduct a secure transaction, and I will advise all of my friends and family the same. I am sincerely let down by your support department/ whoever dealt with this dispute. Again, I’m not sure of what forged and phony “proof” they provided, but your company aided a scam. Furthermore, I have absolutely no intention of paying the $150 that you lost me in this scam. Unfortunately I cannot get the account they stole back, but I will not additionally lose money (that I don’t have) because your company cannot decipher real proof from whatever phony documents the scammer presented.
