Not sure I fully understand "what happened" ... Address Book = ? (I have "Customers" under the "More" tab/drop-down; and it contains all the people who have used PayPal to pay me via my website AND the people I add so I can invoice them ... it is an "idiot list" as you can not sort/access any of the data/information ... it is even more pointless as the information is not complete and cannot be exported. HOWEVER, if this is what you mean, and I think it might be the case, then no worries as the phone field isn't even a column option and your data should be complete/okay. Just go to Invoicing (Tools/Invoicing) and create a new invoice ... use the "address book" there to find the contacts you just added and you will see everything you added is there!

I am an American company in Mesa, Arizona, USA and the case shown is an American Company (FedEx Corporation) branch office (not a franchise or loose association, but an actual owned location where they are one and the same with their parent) in Roseville, California, USA. They pay with American Express Cards ... not "everyone" of their offices have a problem.

The top image (that shows my problem) was removed or deleted ... so I made it smaller and am reposting so you can see the specific issue. I do have a business account and my customers are professionals (my invoice ones) ...

The image on the bottom is from my *.pdf ... I was having people login to their personal accounts and then I had to refund their personal account payment ... I was also having people creating accounts with corporate cards and getting errors (and abandonment) ... so I now have a 3 page document I send to help them see how they can pay online just like with every other payment portal (or should be). I like your invoicing system accept for this "near" mandatory account creation ... I don't even mind the costs and fees ... but you/we have to make this better ... I don't know what else I can do and now with the loss of the "bypass" button I am not going to do it anymore ... I can't do this to a company like FedEx.

I use Invoicing and I am now sending the links directly to my customers (along with a *.pdf that shows them how and where to click and enter data) ... as these are clients who are paying with their company cards and "should not" create personal PayPal accounts. I have just been shown how "they" are not being allowed to bypass the account creation process ... what happened to the "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" button under the "--- or ---" under the "Pay with PayPal? This is what was sent to me to prove they didn't have the option of not creating a PayPal account:

I've added a lot this way now (whew). I have "confirmed" that this is the error; I opened an old contact with phone number formatting, hit "edit", and it won't save UNTIL you "fix" the phone number ... oh well.

It seems to be the phone number data field. Just enter the digits/numbers (with zero punctuation) and it will save everything ... I had the same problem as you and I finally had to invoice!!

I found "IT" ... if you enter the phone number with ONLY numbers then it saves!! Don't use "(, ), -, ., etc." ... and it appears to accept as many digits as you want to add. By doing this I am able to add all my contacts/addresses with all the data ... and then it populates into the invoice.

I have a rough "work around" and that is adding the contact information while I am creating the invoice; it is real rough and incomplete, but I can at least get my invoices out ... weeks ago I talked to support and they said they are aware and working on it ... it should not take this long (and this is something that never should have been rolled out). Sigh.
