Hello PayPal community, I’ve come here to vent on what seems to be a reoccurring unjustified situation on PayPal. I sold a Brand New in original Box Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Autofocus Lens. Listed with No Returns The buyer received it June 19th and as per his words (signed for it himself). The buyer opens a claim on eBay, stating i sent him the wrong item July 4th ( 15 days after receiving the item) EBay instructs me to go against my better judgment and accept the return. I do because i did not want to risk my 9 year perfect 100% feedback. July 18th the buyer fails to ever send me the item (14 days after eBay sent him the return label). July 18th eBay closed the case in my favor. July 25th ( 7 days after eBay closed the case in my favor / 36 days after first receiving my item) the buyer opens a case with PayPal PayPal l FORCES me to accept the return and what do i get? A used, old, random smaller Nikon camera lens then what i sent him. To the point that he had to put a pound of bubble wrap in the box just to compensate for all the negative space around the lens. Whereas my lens fit snug into its original packaging. Fast forward to today August 4th, constant back and forth phone calls with PayPal, 3 different claim disputes and I am STILL waiting to have this case closed in my favor. Their excuse was that i cannot use the same reason as the buyer " item not as described" i mean HELLO obviously he is sending me back an item that is not what i described in my listing! I find their customer service to be atrocious; every time i call i have to repeat every detail of the case because they do not make any notes of it. Yet if you mention them "recording calls" to look back at the case they will tell you they do not have access. How much more proof does PayPal want???? How many more cases like these have to pop up for PayPal to realize they have NO seller protection whatsoever. Can anyone help?
