I've bought a small electronic equipment via eBay that costed almost £3. Unfortunately, the item turned out to be defective, and even worse, the seller, who had started to receive a striking number of negative reviews for selling faulty items (started to happen after my purchase), refused to refund my money. I then contacted PayPal, hoping that this is a very straighforward case and my 100% positive review score demonstrates that I am not trying to defraud anyone, but rather I am someone who just does not like to be defrauded by dodgy sellers. PayPal's finally reached a verdict, which is that I am to send the faulty item to the seller with a tracking code, and then I would be refunded. Only problem is that the shipment with a tracking code costs £3.50. So, basically I am being punished to receive a faulty item from a dodgy seller and make this transaction via PayPal. And since PayPal's decision is final, I am no longer in a position to dispute this ridicules Resolution Centre decision. Has anyone any experience disputing similar decisions or escaleting with customer services such mockery that is I should be losing money to get refunded? For curious, that loose, pink cable in the below picture is the reason that my cable was not working.
