Hi everybody, I am facing the exact same problem. In my case, the buyer asked me (via ebay message) to ship the item to another address. I decided to do so, because I hadn't realised that this decision will get me into trouble later! I shipped the item there with a tracking number. The item was displayed as "received" after about 10 days, and then the buyer sent me a new message, asking me if i had more items to sell. But I didn't have one. That was the last time I spoke to the buyer. After about one month, the buyer made a dispute to PayPal lying that "item is not received". PayPal placed a hold to my money (210$) and after some days, the money was disappeared from my account and the case was closed to the favor of the liar buyer. I contacted the charge-back division of PayPal, but unfortunately they told me that I cannot get my money back, or even a part of it. This is very disappointing and unfair. A clever buyer took advantage of their protection mechanism (dispute as item not received) after he had actually received the item at the address he wanted. And, finally got his money back without consequences. PayPal told me that I shouldn't have shipped the item to an address other that the one is listed to the buyers profile. I don't think that it is a good reason not to protect me as a seller. In my case, I have evidence (stored ebay messages) that the buyer asked me to change the address. PayPal says that they have a "Seller Protection". So, I am telling the truth here, and I can prove it. Very frustrated... 😞 (BUYER RECEIVES THE ITEM BUT THEN DISPUTES AND FINALLY GETS REFUND)
