Back in 2011-2012 I had a recurring payment with Fileserve (don't think they exist anymore). Anyway $9.99 used to come out of my account each month automatically. I cancelled the Fileserve service & I cancelled the recurring Paypal payment. (I still have the emails from PayPal to prove it). One month after this cancelation Fileserve tried to withdraw another payment from my paypal account which was refused by paypal. But my Problem is that paypal have made this non-payment as a debt that I still owe to Fileserve. It has now gone from a $9.99 debt to a $69.00 debt. I have told paypal about this twice now but they won’t do anything about it and the bogus debt from 2011/2012 is still there on my account getting larger & larger. I have emails from paypal showing that I cancelled my auto payment to Fileserve 1 month before Fileserve tried to take more money. Why have I been given a debt owing for this event? You cannot/could not use fileserve unless you pay up front first, they don’t let you use their services & pay later, so I could not have used Fileserve services & not paid for it. But the most important question is: Why won't PayPal fix this? In my Oppinion I think they are doing this so that I cannot close my PayPal account. PayPal will not let you terminate your account while there is still an ongoing issue.
