I run a small part time business (do not make much). I only ship within the US, use Paypal Payments Gateway Pro with CVV2 enabled. That would mean that the card is literally in the persons hand at payment. Well, I get multiple orders through a month from the same logins on our site (not uncommon). I ship, confirm delivery, etc. Now I get hit with "Unauthorized" charge backs, from not one account, but multiple accounts. Turns out, they all went to 3rd party US shippers that ship overseas. Well, they opened a charge back (even though CVV2 was enabled), I sent proof of delivery, and waited. Then they side with the financial institution. WTH!? So, they waited 3 weeks and multiple orders to report fraud charges and I am responsible. Well, I update my online policy to reflect we no longer ship to 3rd party shippers or unconfirmed PayPal addresses. And do my homework. It turns out Paypal offers NO coverage to sellers on commercial products, it only covers IF they pay using their paypal account, not credit cards. WAY TO MISLEAD PEOPLE PAYPAL!!!!! So, they want me to pay for a product that is useless online, and only to pay more in fees when someone cons us. So now, I only accept Paypal on my site, and only use the credit cards in store or from founded trusted buyers over the phone.
