I have a primary bank account on PayPal like most of you do I assume. I had a previous bank but removed it when I added my new bank. Let me he clear and reiterate, I removed the old bank from my PayPal. I also turned off automated payments to ebay 2 years ago when I made the account because eBay kept trying to take money I'd already paid. That dispute was settled, ebays fault, so they can't take money from my PayPal now. So my end of the month dues come along and ebay charges my PayPal account. Despite me having been on the phone for hours, years ago to get this sorted. The money wasn't in the account on my PayPal but eBay said I had seven days to pay. All good. But the day after the charges appeared PayPal digs into their records, finds my old bank account and instead charges that account. This overdrafts my account, the account thar isn't even listed on my PayPal page. My car payment can't come out of that account because it hit the day after. Now my car gets repoed. All this happened mind you while I was in the hospital with my wife having our baby daughter. 2 days after we get home is when the car gets repoed. PayPal not only overdraft Ed my account but after they got the money hit me with a bounced check fee. Which my bank charged me for two overdraft fees now. All on an account I had removed from my PayPal 3 months ago. It's not a "backup" account, it just wasn't there. I removed it. I have to be clear because I know sometimes things get misconstrued on the web. The only people I can even talk to at PayPal customer service don't even speak English and have no idea what they're doing. Meanwhile I don't have a car and I have to find ways to get to work and make sure I can take my baby to her appointments. So anyone have any idea why or even how PayPal would attempt to charge an account that shouldn't have even been in their files? When I removed it why do they think they can still charge it? It even says in the service agreement when you remove am account no further funds may be deposited or withdrawn from. Said account. It's in their own service statement. It is, in every sense, illegal. It was gone, now it's back and money missing from it. I guess my question is, what kind of lawyer do I contact? Is this a civil suit?
