So this client of mine asked me to email him a couple documents. It comes at a cost and I told him about the charges beforehand. The client agrees to pay the charges and does indeed pay them. I promptly deliver him the documents on 2 different emails that he provides me with. 4 days later, he files a dispute claiming that he did not receive the books that he paid for. I am obviously astonished since this trade was not even about books to begin with. Furthermore, he says that the seller isn't responding yet I did not even get a single message from him, not n my email, not on my contact number, nowhere. Moreover, the client raises the dispute to a claim o the same day. Then, I obviously respond to his escalation of the dispute to a claim by providing proof of our chat where he acknowledged the arrival of the documents via email. However, the buyer won't respond anymore. It's been 4 days since I submitted proof. Paypal says that the are awaiting the buyer's response. He has not responded at all. The payment I received is still on hold. I want to know as to who will win this claim if the buyer does not respond to my proof at all. It is clear that the buyer is trying to scam me b getting away with this trade without actually paying anything. However, I did call him and did manage to get him to cancel his claim. He says he has canceled his claim but the payment is still on hold and the claim is still there. I have told this to the buyer and he says that he has called PayPal and they have said that they will cancel the payment soon. Considering that he is speaking the truth, how long before Paypal cancel the claim?
