Hello, I'm trying to upgrade my PayPal account to a business account and both the “Upgrade to a Business account” link under “More about your account” on my account homepage, AND the link within the Settings, re-directs me right back to My Account home page after inputting my email. It doesn’t matter if I click either of those links or any link I’ve found posted on the Community forums – they all take me to: https://www.paypal.com/bizsignup/ It looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/6nYIm Once you input your email you’re redirected right back to your account home. It appears that it’s trying to sign-up for a NEW account instead of UPGRADING like it should. This happens on all browsers and all of my computers. Inputting a random email instead will actually continue the form, asking me to pick a password – so it seems I cannot find a working link to UPGRADE and NOT create a brand new account. Any ideas? Thanks Edit:* My reason is to have the option for requiring immediate payment on eBay. Previously this was available to Premier and Business accounts but since Personal and Premier accounts have merged, this option is no longer available to “Premier” accounts. It seems eBay incorrectly recognizes the account as “Personal”. So now I’m must upgrade to Business for that option to be available. Edit2:* ANSWER FOUND! I believe I’ve found the answer. I can’t speak for everyone but I do not have a “Require Immediate Payment” option in my Payment Method Option preferences when creating a listing or revising a current listing. This is because it seems to happen automatically due to an option checked within “Payment Preference” Go to Seller Dashboard and on the left side you will see “Preferences” and within there you will find “Selling Preferences”. Click “Show” next to “Payment from Buyers” and then “Edit”. Here you will see: “Checkout Preference When you use Checkout, a Pay Now button appears in your listing after it ends. This button helps you get paid faster by encouraging buyers to pa “ The Learn More link says this: Checkout preference Select Use Checkout if you'd like your buyers to pay you as soon as your listing ends. They'll see the Pay Now button in their email notification and in My eBay. After buyers click Pay Now, they specify their shipping address, select any items they'd like to make a combined payment for, and send you their payment. Note: If you're using an online payment method (such as PayPal or through an Internet merchant account), you must select Use Checkout. The Pay Now button is always displayed when PayPal is offered. So there you have it. It seems that "Pay Now" is automatically enabled. I was not able to find this answered anywhere so hopefully this post saves someone all the time I wasted figuring this out.
