Last weekend I was repersenting my business at an event. The phone service at the location was not very good and a customer ended up being double charged. I did not notice this until I had checked my account to following day to transfer money to my personal account. I was not notified on the app the the charge went through twice. Normally after it goes through it takes you to the "next charge" prompt, which I only recieved the once so I know I only charged her once. And, an email is sent to me everytime "I reveice a payment" and I only got one email about this one payment, not 2 emails about 2 seperate payments. Anywho, I called Paypal the next day to ask how to refund the customer and if I would be charged since the app (or the lack of cell service) was to blame and the gentlemen on the phone said no. Well today I checked my account balance and what do you know...I was charged. I dont think we as small business owners should be charged when their apps are at fault. I would understand taking the hit if I **bleep** up and the customer was unsatisfield with their products but this is not the case! Very disappointed!!! How do I make sure this doesnt happen again?!? Update: Paypal rectified the situation and credit/charged the proper fees per their terms. Thank you everyone for you input
