I simply purchased an item, using my PayPal account. Item never arrived. Contacted seller, they proviced a tracking number and requested that I physically visit the post office to track down the missing item (which I thought was obsurd). But, I actually visited the USPS and was finally told, while the Post Office can not locate the missing item, their policy prohibits producing a document stating they lost an item. Opened up a claim (#PP-005-675-852-524). Yet, now PayPal is stating I do not have any grounds for a claim, since I can not prove I didn't receive the item. Which is literally proof that something didn't happen. (?) I did submit a signed statement as such in good faith, but was told it must come from a third Party. I guess I am expected to just write this off to experience. Which I am certrainly prepared to do. But, I will certainly take this into consideration on all future purchases involving a choice to use PayPal or not.
