Yes, many problems with the "new" PayPal shipping! There are different problems depending on which version of the shipping page you use. The "PayPal shipping is not available" error problem stems from the "new" requirement that international shipments have a phone number and affects both the 'classic" page and the "new" page. Most of my customers have provided a phone number, but PayPal does not capture this like it does for the rest of the address information. Why not? Sellers have to look up the customer's number and copy and paste it into the form. Only then will it allow you to proceed. Interestingly, I use Canada Post's website and they don't require a phone number for international orders yet. Hmmm... Other problems with the "new" look page: 1. No auto-complete in form fields anymore. This really slows things down. 2. Does not recognize some abbreviations for states, provinces, etc. You have to select from a drop-down menu (?). (Why do engineers love drop-downs? They're so inefficient). 3. Too many click-thrus to complete forms - needless and inefficient. Takes much longer than old form. 4. If you make a mistake in the customs form, you can't get rid of the error after submitting it, even after correcting it. The only way to continue is to refresh the page, lose all the information you just inputted, and start again. I've responded to several surveys, provided feedback many times and placed several requests for help with the customer service folks. The only answer I got was on the second try contacting customer service (the first request went unanswered) explaining the phone number issue. No explanation for the other problems, nor promises to fix them. I don't think this shipping platform is ready for a roll-out yet. Lots of problems to work out, PayPal. Please listen to your users before discontinuing your "classic" platform. Thanks.
