God forbid you make a payment before your statement cutoff date. My Jan 2, 2017 - Mar 3, 2017 statement is due on March 28, 2017; however, I made the payment TOO EARLY on the statement cutoff date of Mar 3, 2017. Since I paid the payment early (25 days to be exact), I didn't realize that I was being penalized for paying early. PayPal charged me a late fee of $35.00 for paying TOO EARLY! They consider my payments on time, when I pay between the day after my statement cut-off date of 4th through the due date of the 28th. Who charges late fees for paying early? In order for customer service to reverse my early payment LATE FEE I had to pay my Mar 28 payment, first, before they would even consider refunding me my early payment LATE FEE charge. Seriously?!?! If you make 2 payments in one month, they do not consider an early payment towards the next cycle. The customer service rep told me, don't ever pay before your statement cut-off date, but also don't ever pay late. Either way, you'll be charged a late fee. A LATE FEE for paying early. Who would have ever guessed? Unbelievable...poor business ethics. They want your money, but not too early. You'll be penalized and be turned over to credit bureaus for paying too early.
