Is anybody able to explain to me the function of the "eBay refunds and disputes" setting within PayPal I have been experimenting over recent weeks and, unless I'm mistaken, it appears to have no effect on anything at all. In the event of an eBay dispute being opened, funds are placed on hold regardless of whether the setting is on or off. If the eBay case is lost, the funds are automatically refunded regardless of whether the setting is on or off. I have tried asking PayPal customer service via the Message Centre but after three days and numerous responses, I still haven't succeeded in even getting them to understand the question.
