Hello, everyone! I will share my experience here because I have nowhere else left to go. On January 12 I made a purchase via Instagram. The seller was very communicable, and assured me that they would post the items "tomorrow" (Jan 13) and provide me "proof of postage", but after getting my money the seller ignored my messages and this "tomorrow" never came. The payment was made via Friends and Family option which is now the main reason why everything I've done to get my money back is useless. After I asked PayPal (further PP in text) to look into this (by calling and messaging them several times), they opened an unauthorised transaction investigation, which included sending the seller a message. All of a sudden the seller came out of MIA and contacted me (January 19) asking to close the claim stating that due to their negative balance on PP they cannot print me proof of postage, so they asked to me send $5 more. I said once they refund the first payment, we could potentially restart the transaction. Once I said that I am willing to do this, the seller stated that this time they will send my items "tomorrow" (Jan 20) for sure. But this day has passed and the seller is still ignoring me, because PP had to close the investigation due to the transaction not being unauthorised. In the middle of all this I had contacted my bank, since the payment went out from my bank account. The bank reversed the payment, but PP took the money off again this time using my card (as it was set as a backup payment method). I had phoned PP explaining what happened and that my bank has dealt with it already. But due to PP's automated system, they took the payment off again from another source while being fully aware of the situation. At the moment my bank is investigating the card transaction, though I have no idea where it will lead. So far my communication with PP has been useless, because they have just one answer - they cannot do anything about it. I have proof (messages, seller's previous IDs, even ID on eBay, and many other customer complaints found across Google linking to the seller I am currently dealing with), but PP does not seem to be bothered.
