Hello, I have a limited account, I sent 2 of 3 documents, which are my ID and proof of address. But because I am a disabled adult with a rep payee, I have no access and cannot get access to my Social Security Card. My rep payee, coming from an older generation, thinks that paypal is scamming me to giving out all my private information, and then is going to use it to empty my account or something. She is a very sweet lady, and probably the best rep payee out there in the world, very trustworthy, honest, respectable, etc. I will never switch until I can become independent (which isn't soon). But still, I cannot supply my social security card to resolve my account limitations. I just gave paypal 3 consecutive calls, and was on hold for a total of 3 hours (1 hour per call before the call dropped itself). I use a home phone, so I am not sure why my call is dropping.
Is there any hope to recieve my refund of $33? I paid for an item on ebay by mistake, and the seller kindly refunded me. But the refunded cash is not going on my debit card (which, my rep payee does not know about.). Why is paypal even asking for this info? Isn't it supposed to be personal information you shouldn't share to others? With this information, I can see why my rep payee is not doing it, because if someone were to hack into paypal, they could steal not only mine, but many other people's personal information. If this happens, I will lose my social security income due to third party abuse. So, my representative payee won't supply the information. Heck, I can't even get a job because she won't give out my social security number. I have lost so many opportunities because of this. However, I trust her judgement with my life, and I won't change rep payees. So, how do I get my refund with a limited account. To be honest, the only thing I cannot do with my account is load money on my paypal. Anything else is not restricted. Shouldn't I have gotten the refund by now, or will it take a few hours/days for the refund to go back to my card?
