In case you haven't already worked out what it is I just did and here is the info: Like you I had downloaded a csv version of a specific time period of my PayPal transactions so I could upload it into my accounting program. When I was preparing the csv file in the format my accounting program needs for upload I found this same note appearing in various places: "Bank Deposit to PP Account (Obsolete)". It was hard to work out at first as it didn't correspond with any other amounts, but it did often appear right before or right after a refund made to a customer, but always a few dollars less than the refund amount. When I checked my linked bank account for the same dates I saw a debit on my bank account for the exact amount of this "Bank Deposit to PP...". In other words PayPal had "withdrawn: money from my bank account and transferred it to my PayPal account. It didn't occur with every refund, only some, but I worked out it occured when my paypal balance was insufficient to cover the refund. So in that case PayPal took the money from my bank account in order to process the refund. The amounts withdrawn from your bank account are slightly less than the amount refunded to the customer (by the exact amount of the fee PayPal originally charged you when you received the sale). If it isn't a case of doing refunds, then it will probably be using your PayPal account to purchase somethng online. Again if your PayPal balance does not have enough in it then PayPal will debit your linked credit card or bank account for the amount.
