I recently moved IPN processing to a new server and have started seeing a number of duplicate IPN transactions. I've not had this issue in the past and the system has run for several years without problems. The duplicates seem to arrive up to a day apart. Based on my log files, the handshake is working correctly and I see the verified response from the PayPal server. I process the response immediately so the my database response time is not in play. PayPal now hides the IPN history window for free accounts so I can't see the record of the attempts from the server side. Other than the duplicates everything is working normally. Suggestions?

I called again today and the rep again confirmed that they are aware of the problem and working on it. I asked specifically if this was a change in policy. She said no and not to worry. She was unable to provide any kind of estimate as to when it will be resolved. Switching to another service is a major headache because of the need to modify the IPN processing. I've run for years with very few problems.

I am having the same problem. On my last call they admitted that there was an issue, but I could not get any more information out of the rep. I tried creating a simple secure hosted button and have exactly the same problem. Sure hope they get it fixed soon. I have a number of angry users.
