A buyer disputed his payment to me 3 months earlier, as he examined his credit card statement. His credit card company opened a dispute with Paypal. Paypal informed me immediately, and just as immediately imponded my funds (almost $200). I sent Paypal some eveidence that my sale was legitimate. This was apparently a mistake, and it confused Paypal-they had to examine the evidence. I then contacted the buyer, who immediately apoligized, remembering the purchase. His credit card company primised to resolve the dispute by the 9th day after Paypal impunded my funds. It is now the 12th day since my funds were impunded. It took me 30 minutes to finally get a real person at Paypal, and then they could only tell me to wait. I habve sent inquiries about every other day, getting either boilerplate demonstrating no human heard my question ro that "we are still reviewing...it can take up to 30 days for us to review it...it may take the credit card issuer up to 75 days..." If I kept someone's money for a lengthy period, when there was demonstrably no reason remaining to keep it, I would be called a thief. This is my first negative experience with Paypal. I am very disappointed. Any suggestions? I cannot make any headway with them. Nor can my buyer or his credit card company. They CLAIM to be still reviewing the case.
