Hi guys, I'm posting here because I don't know what else to do. I have been a longtime PayPal member and this is the 1st time I asked them for a credit, and despite initially promising one, they are now backtracking. What happened was I received funds in USD from an eBay transaction. I have a CDN and USD chequing account both held with the same Canadian Bank. When I deposited the funds, unless I missed it, I think it automatically converted it - since my primary currency was set to CDN. I used my online banking information for PayPal to search for accounts - it found my USD one...so I chose that one...then I realized, CDN funds going into a USD account is definitely going to have a problem. So I called in and had it cancelled after speaking to someone that kept getting confused, she kept thinking I had a bank account with a US financial institution. This next person cancelled the transaction and she knew I was wanting it in US funds so when she showed me to go to Currencies and to pick USD to make it Primary, I thought it would go back to $611... nope, it went down to $585 - she couldn't say why, and PayPal gives you NO record of this in your transactions. This person checked with their manager and came back and told me that you can actually send USD Funds from your PayPal acct to your US chequing account with TD Canada Trust. Lucky that I didn't actually withdraw the funds because the document she emailed me on how to do it was talking about how to add an American Financial Institution... my head is spinning just writing this! We figured the loss was because there had been an updated rate change... what's worse, when you click PayPal Balance and the pop-up comes up (which the lady told me just to click 'manage currencies') if often says USD $0.00 -- but if it's Canadian and you click on PayPal Balance it usually tells you the conversion righ there. I was promised a refund for the $30 USD but there system was down in message centre, they said I could call in and there'd be notes. The person over the phone didn't understand the situation and came back after talking with someone and said there was nothing he could do. So, I wrote back on message centre and the beginning of the response was "I'd be happy to assist you with getting your refund"... a teaser, when in the end, the person said they couldn't do so. When you click on Make Primary it should always tell you there and sometimes it just says $0.00.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YhgSZUW8fk
