Does anyone have any ideas how I can get the limits unlocked on a not for profit business account? The account is to collect subs for a non profit Children's Football Club. I have jumped through all the documentation hoops that have been thrown my way, PayPal have my passport, driving licence, HSBC Bank statement in the name of the club, letter of authority, website, Mission Statement, Organisation structure and a letter detailing income and expenditure and still after 6 phone calls, multiple promises of callbacks no resolution. Each time I call I get the I'll review your documents... yes they look fine... the compliance team are the only ones that can lift the limit... no we can't speak to them - they'll review in 24-48 hrs I have asked to speak to a supervisor to be told that isn't one available they will call you back... they didn't, 2 agents on two different days promised to sort it and call me back and they didn't and nothing in the PayPal account that changes so that I can actually do anything - not that I think there is anything left to give other than maybe my inside leg measurement. If I hear european rules on money laundering one more time I am going to break down in tears; it wasn't this difficult to get a bank account that is perfectly happy to allow me to deposit money (and most importantly get it out again). The whole process is shambolic, no ownership of the issue, very nice people who promise it will be sorted but achieve nothing and meanwhile I have Junior football club unable to access the funds required to actually run - thanks a lot PayPal you were supposed to make this easy not try and put the club out of operation.
