I was speaking to a girl on Depop about selling her an Xbox One. I sold her the Xbox via Paypal goods & services. Her ‘cousin’ paid for the item, but the girl told me to deliver the Xbox to her London address as this is where she lives; so I did that. The buyer has now filed a complaint that she hasn’t received the item (because I sent it to the address I was told to send it to, but not to the Paypal address). The ‘cousin’ that has sent me money, is claiming that she isn’t related to the girl from Depop and that my payment detail were given. So as it stands, I will lose £185 to refund the person who paid, and have lost £185 by sending my Xbox to the address said. I do not have any Paypal seller protection as I have not sent it to the specified paypal address. The Depop account has now been deleted. I guess the person from Depop gave my payment details so that they cannot be tracked. They currently have my Xbox for free. I have contacted the buyer ‘The cousin’ through her Paypal email and she is saying that she was also speaking to the same person on Depop and thought she was buying an iPhone (not an Xbox) & was given my Paypal email address to send the money to. I have screenshots of her talking to me on Depop, telling me to deliver to a certain London address, of which I can prove I have sent the item to that address, using signed delivery. Please help.
