This is kind of a long story, but I'll make it as short as possible. My paypal account was limited some time ago. I opened a case with the Better Business Bureau against paypal stating that I believed that they were unfairly holding the funds in my account as a result of the limitation. In response to this, someone from paypal's office of executive escalations responded to my case saying that they went ahead and requested a check for me for the majority of my paypal balance and stated this money would no longer be held (the remainder of the money would be held for 180 days). The only problem with this is that I no longer live at the address of where the check is being sent to. I really wish this person wouldn't have been so (bleep)ing ignorant and let me request the withdrawal myself to avoid a potential issue like this, or at least get ahold of me first to make sure the check was going to the right address. Also, I wanted to do a bank transfer, I didn't want a check, but this person didn't even ask me how I wanted my money. They just went ahead and requested this check to be sent to the wrong address. I called paypal yesterday requesting that the withdrawal be cancelled. They said they put in a request for the withdrawal to be cancelled and that some time today a stop payment should have been put on the check and I would get the funds back in my paypal account. The day is almost over and this still hasn't been done. I've called paypal 2 more times trying to get some answers as to why they still haven't stopped this check that's going to the wrong address and they still haven't done anything to help me. I'm running out of options at this point. I need this check cancelled and fast. The check has already been sent out and I don't want whoever is now living at this address to get their hands on this check and possibly cash it while the check is still good because then I would be (bleep)ed out of my money. Paypal really needs to wake up and take care of this issue since it's their stupidity that caused this problem in the first place. Can someone please tell me what my options are at this point to get this check cancelled?
