A month ago I purchased through eBay diamond earrings and matching pendant in one PayPal transaction and the diamonds were not as described so through eBay returns the earrings went back first then a few days later we returned the pendant. All done properly all packages photographed and special delivery tracking, everything done as per eBay request. Seller issued first refund as excheque which bounced and we opened s claim on PayPal which automatically closed everything on eBay. The claim was for the earrings only . Then the second refund was issued as echeque, that also bounced. PayPal eventually refunded for the earrings but won't deal separately with pendant even though we have proof of delivery, refund etc etc. They say if the seller doesn't confirm receipt then we have lost 410.00 !!!!!!! Of course the seller is not replying to me or to PayPal. We have spoken to numerous claims specialists who tell us different things. Don't worry your money is safe, was one, until the other day I was told I had lost my claim due to seller not confirming receipt. They are registered at company house as a business, we have all the tracking and proof of return but we are still waiting for PayPal to review it. I am completely disenchanted with the buyer protection as it clearly changes day to day according tomwhichbagent you speak to. What can I do ? Does anyone have advice ? I have a crime number from the police but it is not considered theft . In my opinion it is. We have implored the seller to just send the pendant back, at our expense, no reply to that or any other message. Is there anything at all we can do to persuade PayPal to support us ?
