I purchased items off Etsy.com using paypal from a new seller with zero feedback but with a vereified paypal account. I had some nagging doubt about the seller but called Paypal who told me they have no reason to believe the seller had committed any actions that should cause any concern. Days later, casual browsing on other sites I see the exact same items in the exact same pictures for sale by another seller in a different country on <removed>, Not similar items - the EXACT same items. I contacted my seller on Etsy to inquire as to how I could find items I had allegedly bought still offered for sale by another seller in a different country ! and he said he is business parters with this other seller on <removed>. Hmmm, I contacted the <removed> seller who by the way had 99% feedback on hundreds of transactions and he said he never heard of my seller and had no arrangement with anyone else to sell his items on his behalf. SO, back to Etsy and lo and behold the sellers account is terminated, he is no longer a seller on that site. SO back to Paypal and start a dispute to get my refund as its painfully obvious at this point I will never receive anything for my money. First step it tells me I will be instructed to first contact the seller but then lo and behold the system then all by itself bypasses this step telling me I CANT contact the seller via Paypal and it goes on to step 2 to escalate to a claim. GREAT things are in motion and I should get my refund. NOT!! I just checked status and it reverted back to contacting the seller and Paypal gives this creep 2 weeks to respond. WHAT!!!!! this is so obvious a fraud, a scam, that a child can see that. Why the heck will Paypal allow this guy 2 minutes much less than 2 weeks to voluntarily provide me a refund. What a crock, I have lost confidence with Paypal over this gross oversight.
