What a crock this is! He didn't answer the question at all and ignored it in the end. Wanna know why?? This just happened to me. I immediately call Paypal & asked them to put the $$ on business CC. They said I "chose" turbo pay which did this! That is total BS!! Let me tell you that I couldn't FIND the turbo button, even once I realized what was going on. They said it was perhaps on a previous ebay purchase I clicked the turbo button & I didn't realize it. Also a crock. My last 3 ebay purchases were all using my business CC so that can't be right. I got on the paypal site. I discovered THERE IS NO WAY TO CHOOSE OR UNCHOOSE TURBO PAY, OR EXPRESS, OR AUTOPAY OPTION or whatever they're calling it. I also discovered thus is a seller option: the seller puts in html code to "express checkout" the purchase removing the option for the buyer to choose the form of payment. The buyer has NO CHOICE. They (Paypal) also said they couldn't correct the error even though I called immediately. They said I must get a refund issued from the seller & repurchase the item OR I have to contact American Express & have them switch it to the correct card. (Really Paypal??) I've contacted the seller in the UK & initiated a refund. What a hassle! So if anyone wants to control your form of payment on eBay, you will have to call Paypal & (after hearing several times that YOU chose this) and you must request them to turn off "turbo" option in your account. I told them to turn it off FOREVER. From now on, I will have to carefully inspect each page when I "Buy It Now" and if it looks like my payment option is gone, I'll tell the seller I can't proceed with our transaction. Sellers take notice! Bad bad paypal!! if this happens again, I'm closing my paypuke account. How absurd for them to do this & provide me with NO WAY to opt out of this without having to call them (which is a big hassle in itself). And you only know about it AFTER the purchase! What a Catch-22!!! That's why the paypal guy didn't answer this. He knows Paypal is sneaking this one in on unsuspecting buyers! The best scenario here is Paypuke's tech support doesn't understand their product, or at worst they're playing dumb, like this guy. 😞 😞 😞
