Hi there, I recently bought a $1000 gold ring through PayPal (not eBay). I had problems with the seller before. I had previously purchased a silver ring and the seller had tried to sell it to someone else after I had paid (person messaged me with screenshots and the seller claimed it was a misunderstanding). The tracking was invalid and I never received the item. The seller then accuses me of cheating and abusive comments (my comment was about why the one-off item I just paid for offered/available for someone else to buy). I opened a PayPal item not received dispute and won it. I am afraid about my recent transaction with the same seller. The reason why I wanted to buy from them again is that I really want the item and can't find it anywhere else. I WILL not purchase from them again. The same exact ring is listed on the seller's website available for purchase. I also want to add that all of the products are unique and one-off jewellery items so there cannot be more than 1 in stock. What should I do if the seller sends a package with something not as described with tracking and signature on delivery? Do I accept it, sign for it then open it up and check? Do I not accept the package if it is significantly heavier or lighter, it is hard to tell since it is a ring? What are the chances of winning a non eBay item not as described case for a buyer? How can a seller win an item not as described case for non eBay (PayPal) transactions? Can the seller try and scam me of my $1000? What do I do if the seller does not send my item? I really hope the seller sends the actual item. Thank you in advance.
