On Oct 28th I made a few purchases on Ebay from 5 different sellers. i opted to use the paypal Credit since these are all for xmas. Transaction went through, all in all a great deal. i recieved the confirmation email from Paypal credit stating the total charges and everything was done. friday morning though I noticed that I had Paypal charges on my bank account! i called Paypal customer support and was told that 2 of the charges went to my bank account the others went through Paypal credit. i explained that all sellers listed Paypal credit as a form of payment and that I did not authorize my personal bank account to be used for these. Said that I had the confirmation email from Paypal credit as well. i was told by the rep that all I could do was request a refund from the seller and get my money refunded. Needless to say I found this unacceptable and requested to speak to a supervisor to see if more could be done. I was left to rot away on hold for 45min... Sadly the enite time listening to the Paypal hold speech about how the protect us from fraud.... I hung up and called again, explained again what happened and explained that i never gave permission for my bank account o be used and I was told "You bought the items through paypal, and we can use the bank account because it was listed." again I asked for a supervisor and how long it would take. He assured me it would take no more than 4 minutes. I hung up after being on hold for 30min. I was never checked on by the rep just more bad hold jingles stating "We gaurantee you against fraud 100%" which I guess means everyone accept Paypal. So I am no longer a customer of Paypal after this. I can't believe that if you request one thing they can use another "To be clear I selected Paypal credit onthe ebay transaction" and they take no responsibility for their actions. Just wanted to throw the warning out there since I know Paypal credit is a very popular option to consumers. Beware.
