I saw another post about this and am pretty much furious. Chances are I am guessing the only option is to cancel the account which is extremely frustrating as closing a line of credit has a negative impact on your credit score (THANKS A LOT PAYPAL!) Anyway, I called and got transferred to about FIVE different departments all trying to figure out why I can't use my PayPal credit account. It worked two months ago then immediately after that it STOPPED working. I have tried making purchases on eBay, Facebook Ads, travel and airline websites as well as on Newegg which is a RECOMMENDED merchant through PayPal, none of which works. I called customer service. They passed me around tried to "flag" my account to see if it worked. They couldn't see a single transaction. Finally I get transferred to this really rude guy that tells me it's a "server latency" and that's why they can't see charges from two weeks ago (which I call B.S. on seeing as how a server should never take that long.) Then he tells me this is in fact not on PayPal's end but on my end because he believes I'm on a VPN since my computer is used for work - that's funny, because I OWN this computer AND my business and I NEVER setup a VPN or had a need to. Then he tells me oh well then it's your internet provider because it's not secure enough and the websites you're trying to purchase from are also not secure enough and too "high risk" for us to process - WTF? I live in TWO different states with TWO different computers and neither of them will allow me to make a transaction. Not to mention, Newegg is RECOMMENDED by PayPal. I have a very low balance and have always paid it on time and my available balance is over 6 times what I owe. So after all of this balogna THE MAN HANGS UP ON ME and says there is NOTHING PayPal can do. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well seeing as how this is such a complete and utter rip off. No one in customer service could help me. The first four agents were all nice, however the last one was an absolute moron. I get that there are probably technically challenged people who call in, however I'm extremely technically savvy and not an idiot. I know when it's a user error as opposed to a technical issue and I gladly admit when I've made a mistake. PayPal's service is APPALLING. This is exactly why I use Square as a merchant for all of my business transactions instead of using PayPal for my business.
